History

Stevens & Associates run a practice that has grown tremendously on the basic, human principles of providing a personalized, legal care that emphasizes relationships, integrity and understanding. Stevens & Associates has helped individuals and families from all economic backgrounds whether they have a need for a simple estate plan or advice for a small family business, to needs for complex long-term care or significant wealth planning.

Attorney

Tamatha A. Stevens

After an award-winning performance in law school at Indiana University in which she received deans honors and graduated cum laude, Tamatha followed her academic career, which included clerkships in the legal departments of Eli Lilly and Company and Ameritech, with decade of experience in the Indiana Tax Court and other law firms. She then set out to establish something completely different - Stevens & Associates offers families and businesses a personalized, caring law practice that emphasizes relationships, integrity and understanding.

Admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, United States Tax Court, United States Federal Claims Court, both the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts in Indiana, and all Indiana state courts. Tammy is also recognized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, the Social Security Administration and is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to practice within its realm assisting our Veterans and their families. Tammy additionally holds the title of Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is a current and former member of the American Bar Association, Indiana Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, Probate & Real Property Bar Section, Elder Law Bar Section, Indiana NAELA Bar, National Academy of Elder Lawyers (NAELA), National Association of Women Business Owners, National Health Lawyers Association, National Planned Giving Committed, Indiana Planned Giving Committee, Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis, Inc., Indiana Leadership Forum, Wealth Counsel, and many other professional organizations. She is a current or former Board Member to the Indiana Zoological Society Planned Giving Committee, Joy’s House Adult Day, HealthNet, PrimeLife Enrichment, Indiana NAELA, St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and KidsFirst Foundation. She is a member of Northview Christian Church and is active there and in other social and charitable community affiliations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, especially her own teenage daughter. Both Tammy and her daughter are equestrians and enjoy participating in horse shows in the midwest.

Mark W Pfeiffer

PRIMARY PRACTICE
Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration and Tax Planning.

EXPERIENCE
Mr. Pfeiffer brings almost thirty years of experience to the practice of law. He assists his clients with their estate planning needs by working with them to determine their goals in passing on their assets to those they leave behind and protecting their loved ones. He prepares a comprehensive plan to meet their goals in a tax efficient manner. In estate and trust administration matters, he assists and advises his clients to best carry out their duties as a personal representative or trustee. The law in these areas can often be complex. He is there with them every step of the way to ensure a smooth process in wrapping up the affairs of the person who has passed on and carrying out their wishes in the distribution of their assets. He is well versed in estate and gift tax issues and assists his clients with tax planning to minimize the tax effects on their estates. His practice includes premarital planning, special needs planning, charitable gift planning, Medicaid planning and business succession planning for his clients.
